The Atari Virtual Casino Metaverse is a work in progress but the world has gotten to see a preview of it recently. If the preview was an accident or intended is hard to say, but it was available for a period. The Atari Casino Metaverse is said to launch soon and we should expect that to be in 2022 as the game, while still rough, is approaching completion. With the infinite open world concept there is a lot of room for expectations, which we hopefully will be not let down by.
It is not Atari’s first dip into the crypto currency or metaverse world, they have launched their crypto currency token ATRI which is available for purchase. But they also have a use for this ATRI token within Decentraland, where they have opened a casino in collaboration with decentral.games.
Atari was once the most important company in video gaming, pioneering arcade games and home video game consoles in the late 1970s and early 1980s. They have since then struggled with debt, until they filed for bankruptcy in 2013. The tide seems to have turned for Atari with their focus on new technology such as crypto currency and games within the Metaverse. Atari is now bringing in millions in revenue and is back to being a profitable venture, but with the manpower closer to a startup.
After launching the Atari Casino game the first thing you will be asked to do is to connect your wallet in order to make transactions within the game. You will need to use the ATRI token from Atari, but at this stage you do not need to have a balance. The wallets currently given as options are MetaMask, WalletConnect and Torus, which are all reputable options.

In Atari Metaverse you will be able to configure your character any way you want to, to look very similar to yourself or completely different. In a new account there are some options to get started, expecting the options to increase as you participate in the Atari Casino Metaverse.

As the name implies, the Atari Casino Metaverse is very much focussed on gambling as the main activity. The traditional casino games you would expect to find in a land based casino you will be able to find here as well, this includes slot machines, roulette, blackjack, poker and more games to come.
These games are initially played against the house, and we don’t have an insight on the RTP (return to player or win rate) we can expect at Atari Casino.
